Maurice Mortell - Chief Executive Officer

Maurice Mortell was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Data Electronics in 2001, having worked in a number of senior management positions within the company since 1991.  With over 20 years experience in the telecoms and internet sectors in Ireland, Maurice is highly regarded as a specialist in IT service capabilities and is a regular speaker on topical thought leadership issues including Ireland’s Innovation Taskforce (Digital 21) and the Green Economy.  

In his capacity as CEO, Maurice has managed the expansion and growth of Data Electronics’ business both in Ireland and on an international scale, whilst he remains a key figure in the planning and development of the new Data Electronics data centre at Northwest Business Park, Dublin.

As a graduate of Business Studies from the College of Commerce, Maurice is now a member of the Telecommunications Information Federation Committee (TIF), and is actively involved in the TIF Green Technology Industry Group.   He is on the board of the Irish Internet Association and is a former chairman of the Outsourced Services Group within IBEC
